About the Bible

Detroit Apostolic Fellowship is a United Pentecostal Church that believes in heart felt worship, anointed preaching, and the operating of God’s Holy Spirit within our congregation. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and applicable to our everyday lives.

2 Timothy 3:15-17

About God

There is only one eternal God who created heaven and earth, and all living beings. God has revealed (manifested) Himself to us as Father in creation, Son in salvation, and as the Holy Ghost in regeneration (indwelling Spirit).

Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9;

1 Timothy 3:16

About Sin

For all have sin and come short of the glory of God. Jesus Christ paid for our sins by dying on the cross.

Romans 3:23-25; Romans 6:23

About Salvation

We believe in a born-again experience that Jesus spoke about. We believe that one must repent of their sins, be water baptized by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. And one must receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. Through repentance, water baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost (Spirit) we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

John 3:5-8; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-6;

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the manifestation and operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

About the Future

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

About Heaven and Hell

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ love.

Revelation 20:11-15

As Ananias ask Paul in Acts 22:16, so we ask you:

“And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
